Beto shocking yet again, 8/10 the only positive – Everton player ratings vs Tottenham
When Everton lost 2-0 to Manchester City last week, the striker was incredibly poor, missing a massive chance early on.
Against Tottenham, he was awful yet again. The striker could have had the Toffees ahead within five minutes, but fluffed his lines from close range before Vicario saved Jack Grealish‘s follow-up.
The 27-year-old was certainly a handful for the Tottenham defenders at times, but for much of the game, that is all he was, making just four passes throughout his time on the pitch.

Beto did have one good chance, adjusting well to fire an acrobatic effort at goal, but ultimately the strike was hit down into the ground and into the path of Vicario, who could swat it away.
It has been an issue that has raged on throughout the season, and it is one without any obvious solution. Thierno Barry made his way onto the pitch in the second half and looked bright at times.

It’s a problem that Moyes must do something about, whether that is to start Ndiaye through the middle, or indeed give Barry an extended run in the starting line-up.
Whatever he does, it will continue to hamper Everton for as long as Beto starts through the middle.
Iliman Ndiaye shines brightest vs Tottenham
Of the two Everton players who looked as if they could get Moyes’ side back into the game – Grealish and Ndiaye – the latter was the most impressive.
It was his cross that created the opening chances for Beto and Grealish, and the winger went close himself on two occasions in the second half.
Ndiaye was a constant thorn in the side of Djed Spence, and it continued into the second half, with the Senegal international creating the chance that Beto may well have made it 2-1 with.
Despite all of his efforts, however, the 25-year-old leaves the match like his teammates – empty-handed.
Ndiaye has been brilliant for Everton this season, but they must utilise him and supply him with the forwards to finish his moments of magic.
