There have been plenty of positives for David Moyes to take from the opening eight games of the league season.
But the 62-year-old Everton boss will also feel that there have been plenty of opportunities missed in the early stages of the campaign.

Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee is on Everton’s radar ahead of the upcoming transfer window opening.
However, it is one former Man United forward who Grant believes would bang in the goals for the Toffees if he was playing on Merseyside.

Tony Grant would love Danny Welbeck at Everton
At the weekend, Pat Nevin slammed Beto for his Everton display against Man City, with the striker going another game without a goal.
It simply has not been good enough from the 27-year-old and new recruit Thierno Barry.

Speaking on The Added Time podcast, alongside Everton News columnist Alan Myers, Grant named Danny Welbeck as a striker who would drastically improve the Blues.
“We just need more goals coming from the team. That’s not just us, that’s every team. I noticed Brighton got a good win on the weekend. Danny Welbeck got the two goals,” said Grant.
“I think Welbeck’s 33/34 and I honestly think if Welbeck was up top for us now, I think he played for Manchester United for a long time, he’d have scored on Saturday.”
Myers has suggested Iliman Ndiaye could play up front if Moyes feels a drastic change could be needed to find some consistent goals.
Welbeck is enjoying his football down on the south coast and it only highlights the struggles Everton are enduring with their own strikers.

Welbeck shows Everton Premier League experience is key
It is worth pointing out that Welbeck did see his penalty against Everton earlier this season saved by Jordan Pickford.
Regardless, the 34-year-old is operating at a level which Moyes could only dream of seeing from the likes of Beto.
It is no secret that Moyes has not been impressed by Beto from as early as pre-season training in the summer.
Boasting a wealth of Premier League experience, Welbeck is enjoying some of his best form as he closes in on his 35th birthday next month.
