Everton have seen a number of clubs retain an interest in defender Jarrad Branthwaite ahead of the January transfer window.
The summer market was an important one for Everton who made nine new signings to bolster their squad.
Some big-name departures were seen on Merseyside after David Moyes saw his squad decimated through free agent exits.
But this comes just months after the 23-year-old centre-back inked his new deal on Merseyside.
Everton News’ transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey has now shared just how the club are reacting to news of interest in Branthwaite.

It has also been suggested that Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in Branthwaite, but he now has a new and improved deal at Everton.
Since signing his new contract, Branthwaite is yet to play a competitive game, but Everton News’ transfer correspondent, Bailey, has shared just how The Friedkin Group feel about their prized defender.

“Everton are not worried about links to Jarrad Branthwaite, they firmly believe in their project and he is a huge part of it,” said Bailey.
“They know they have one of the most talented young defenders in Europe, so links are nothing new but they remain intent on showing him his long-term future is best served at the Hill Dickinson.
“A team like Tottenham would look at him and they do have money for a defender in 2026 – but it won’t be Branthwaite. The player’s focus for 2026 is playing for Everton and going to the World Cup finals with England.”
With the 23-year-old centre-back close to returning from his injury setback, Branthwaite will finally be able to make his play for a spot in the England squad.
Branthwaite faces battle to return to Everton XI
Having picked up his injury issue during pre-season, Michael Keane has played at centre-back instead of the 23-year-old.
Following his early season displays, Everton fans have praised Keane, who has also signed a new deal.
Moyes has also been impressed with his veteran defender as Branthwaite ups his rehabilitation back at Finch Farm.
“We have a squad of players and you hope that the players who you give the opportunities [when there are injuries] that they can hang on to the jersey,” Moyes said last week.
“I thought Michael [Keane] has done great for us in the games he’s played and long may that continue.”
