Everton fans demand club make U-turn after ‘shameful’ decision shared

Everton fans have been left in absolute disbelief over a recent decision made by the club.
There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic as an Everton fan currently, with the Friedkins turning the club’s fortunes around.
The Friedkin Group have solved Everton’s PSR issues after creating new revenue streams, which have created much more financial headroom.
Movement in the market over the summer provided Moyes with some real quality to use on the pitch.
It is believed that Moyes was delighted with the signing of Jack Grealish and Tyler Dibling, as the new owners put their money where their mouths are.
Jamie Carragher hailed the Hill Dickinson Stadium following his visit for the opener against Brighton & Hove Albion.
However, a development involving Carragher has now caused a lot of frustration among some Everton fans.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
But this is a decision which has not gone down well with all Everton fans.
Taking to social media, some fans have shared their clear disapproval of the move which was seemingly meant to get one over on the former Liverpool player.
Clearly unimpressed, one fan said: ‘@efc_fanservices suggest this gets removed before someone else does it.’ Whilst another fan added: ‘Take it down blues’.
The decision was taken after Carragher’s personalised brick was rejected by the club during the construction of the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton’s decision has received a lot of backlash, as one fan said: ‘That’s just not funny, is it… @efc_fanservices This needs to be taken down. People have dedicated pictures on this wall to family and friends, and this has been allowed to be included! Shameful!’
One fan had to contain his true thoughts, saying: ‘Biting my tongue but wow’. With another Everton supporter adding: ‘Carragher showing his class as per…’
The club must be hearing the concerns, as one fan simply said: ‘It should only be for Evertonians also.’ A clear frustration is felt by a lot of fans, as one bluntly told the club: ‘I think @Everton need to get rid of this’.
Everton decision has backfired with fans
Having knocked back his personalised brick, which was purchased by Gary Neville, this may have been viewed as an opportunity to get one over on Carragher by the club.
The image set to be used in the mosaic is of Carragher refusing to abseil down the side of Anfield for Sky Sports.
Dressed in his protective gear, it is a moment which has been used to mock Carragher by the likes of Neville.
However, Everton’s decision to use the image has backfired with a lot of their fans, who are demanding a U-turn.
Carragher admitted he used to support Everton, but his affiliation to the red half of Merseyside is now too far gone to see him included in Everton’s future on the docks.
