David Moyes has already got his Everton side firing on all cylinders just three games into the new Premier League season.
Everton have made a strong start to the term with six points from a possible nine in the league.
Since their last outing against Wolves, the Toffees have even been able to strengthen their squad with the addition of midfielder Merlin Rohl.
Despite only being on Merseyside for a matter of days, Rohl has impressed Moyes in Everton training back at Finch Farm.
The international representatives have been away playing for their countries over the last week, whilst Moyes has worked with the players left on Merseyside.
However, Everton players in the past have not always taken to their manager’s methods at Finch Farm.
Wayne Rooney has now shared what he refused to do under former Everton manager Sam Allardyce.

Wayne Rooney once refused Sam Allardyce’s Everton demand
Ironically, Allardyce has recently shared his Rooney regret in not making him the Everton captain immediately.

The former Everton manager waxed lyrical about Rooney, but the 39-year-old did not exactly buy into all of Allardyce’s methods
Speaking on The Wayne Rooney Show, the man himself admitted that he did not enjoy some of the things which Allardyce demanded behind the scenes.
“I never liked it. When Sam Allardyce came into Everton, he said we would get fined if he did not use the cryotherapy machine,” said Rooney.
“I did it once and I was sick. Never did it again.”
“To be honest, I didn’t like any of them [recovery machines]. Sam was very scientific in everything he done. He analysed the referee, the stadium, everything. I was 30/31 and I was like: ‘Sam, come on. I did it once and I was sick. I know how to recover’.”
Rooney has recently spoken to Grealish during the international break, with the 30-year-old hitting his best form again at Everton.
In contrast, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has shared how well Grealish is training back at Finch Farm since landing from Manchester City.
Rooney shared his admiration for Allardyce
Infamously, Allardyce only lasted one game as the England manager before being sacked for an off-field incident.
Speaking about the matter, Rooney did say back at the time that it was a shame to see Allardyce depart after such a short space of time.
“It’s a shame, everyone could see how excited Sam was for the job and he came in and showed that enthusiasm to the players,” he said.
“It’s a shame it’s happened and I’m sure he deeply regrets it. It was a decision for the FA to take.”
Duncan Ferguson regretted not mentoring Rooney better during their time together at Everton.
However, it would seem that even in the latter stages of his career, Rooney had his own recovery methods despite what his manager advised.
