Everton signed Merlin Rohl on transfer deadline day earlier this week.
Merlin Rohl has joined on an initial loan, which will become a permanent deal worth around £18m if Everton retain their Premier League status.

Rohl is already impressing in training and is expected to make his debut for the club against Aston Villa next week.
Everton fans were in awe of Rohl’s first interview as he displayed maturity and intelligence years beyond his age.
His former Freiburg manager Julian Schuster has been speaking about his transfer to Merseyside and made an admission.

Julian Schuster has revealed that Rohl’s move to Everton was very last-minute and he would’ve liked to keep him at the Bundesliga outfit.
“It all came about on very short notice,” Schuster told Kicker.

“We naturally would have liked to keep Merlin, but it’s been made clear that an offer of a certain amount [potentially €25m] can constitute an argument for letting certain lads go.
“We still possess plenty of (squad) depth and are confident the players we have will be sufficient.”
German football expert Ruairidh Petre says Rohl is a ‘natural footballer’, so for Everton to sign him so late on in the window for that fee that they paid looks like incredible business.
David Moyes admits he was tracking Merlin Rohl for a while
Although the Rohl transfer came very late on in the window, Everton have actually been scouting him for a while.
Moyes’ chiefs held talks with Rohl back in April, and when the deal went through on deadline day, the Scotsman explained that he’s been a long-term target.
“We’re really pleased to bring Merlin to Everton,” Moyes said.
“He’s a Germany Under-21 international who will add different qualities to our existing midfield options.
“He’s an exciting prospect who we’ve followed at the Club for some time, and we’re all looking forward to working with him as we continue to build a squad and team at Everton.”
