As of June 14, 2025, there is no credible information or official reports confirming that Russell Westbrook has signed a six-year contract with the Boston Celtics. In fact, Westbrook is currently under contract with the Denver Nuggets, having signed a two-year deal worth $6.8 million in July 2024. The second year of this contract includes a player option for the 2025–26 season.

Westbrook’s tenure with the Nuggets has been marked by notable achievements. In November 2024, he scored 29 points in a victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
