Trent Alexander-Arnold claims £16m Liverpool player was a ‘game changer’ vs Fulham

Trent Alexander-Arnold has lauded Wataru Endo’s performance against Fulham, with the midfielder scoring on the day for Liverpool at Anfield.

The £16m summer signing from VfB Stuttgart has struggled to find his rhythm at Liverpool since arriving, with Endo spending the majority of his time as a squad player on the bench.

However, this weekend has seen Endo’s stock rise considerably as the midfielder scored an exceptional goal against Fulham to inspire Liverpool to an incredible 4-3 win.

Alexander-Arnold said on Endo’s performance: “Outstanding finish. I had a good view of that, just behind him! It had a great shape on it, outstanding finish, he just guided it into the net. It’s probably a side of his game that people don’t really expect.

“People see him as a bit of a dog, a bit of a ball winner, win the ball back and keep it simple, but he has great feet and great technique. He’s an outstanding lad and an outstanding professional who added so much to our game when he came on. He was a real game-changer.”
