Lakers Legend Sends Blunt Message to NBA Refs After Luka Doncic’s Ejection

Luka Doncic, LeBron James, and the Los Angeles Lakers were unable to come out on top against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night. When all was said and done, the Lakers lost the game against the best team in the Western Conference by a final score of 136-120.
Due to the loss, Los Angeles fell to 48-31 on the season. The Lakers have just three games left in the regular season and are still battling for playoff positioning.
Following their defeat at the hands of the Thunder, Los Angeles now holds onto the No. 3 seed in the conference by just one game over the Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, and Memphis Grizzlies.
There is a lot on the line for all four teams entering the final few games of the year.
During the game against Oklahoma City, Doncic was ejected after being called for a technical foul while jawing back and forth with a fan.
That ejection is one that has caused a lot of criticism from NBA fans. Once again, the referees are under fire for making a questionable decision.
James Worthy, a Lakers’ legend, spoke out about the ejection. He opened fire at the referees for their decision to kick Doncic out of the game as well.
“The fans don’t come to these games to see the referees, they come to see the players,” Worthy said. “[The refs] need to keep that in mind.”
Doncic had scored 23 points to go along with five assists in the contest and Los Angeles was up one point when the ejection occurred. Fans can only wonder what would have happened if he hadn’t been removed from the contest.
