Everton issue statement over ticket resales as warning sent over banning orders
The club is today warning that many of those tickets may not be real, with Everton having already had to deal with supporters being scammed throughout the Goodison farewell campaign. There have been occasions when fans have reached the turnstiles only to discover they have been conned, in some cases sold screenshots of what they believed to be digital tickets.
In relation to genuine tickets, Everton are warning they will take a no tolerance approach to sales to touts and unauthorised websites.
In a message released with just the home games against Manchester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton left, the club said: “Any shareholders, season ticket, hospitality, or official members who have been found to have sold their match tickets via unauthorised third-party websites or directly to touts will receive a lengthy banning order from Goodison Park and Everton Stadium.
“The resale of tickets through unofficial platforms is strictly prohibited and in breach of Everton’s ticketing terms and conditions. These measures are in place to protect supporters and to ensure fair access to tickets.”
