Ismaila Sarr could be on his way to West Ham in surprise late window deal claims

Ismaila Sarr could be on his way to West Ham in a surprise late window deal, a journalist is claiming this afternoon.
West Ham boss David Moyes is famous for playing his cards very close to his chest on most things.
Especially transfers and team news.
But the Scot – perhaps through frustration or in order to get a message to the board – was unusually forthcoming in volunteering information on West Ham’s aims for transfer deadline day.
The Scot revealed he hopes to bring in a left-sided attacker before the 11pm cut off after a chat with Hammers technical director Tim Steidten.

That need will become even more acute if Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals depart for Lyon and Real Betis as expected.
A deal for Jota was killed stone dead after a shock announcement yesterday. And a move for winger Ibrahim Osman stalled this week.
But now a longstanding Moyes favourite is being linked with the Hammers.

In an exclusive, Graeme Bailey told our sister site HITC that Sarr – who is available on loan from Marseille –

And in the summer window of 2022, the Senegal star – who can play across the forward line – was tipped to join the Hammers.
He ended joining Marseille on leaving Watford, though. But having hardly played this season, he is now being offered to West Ham according to Bailey.
“West Ham United are interested in a deadline day deal for Senegalese star Ismaila Sarr, HITC understands,” the report states.
“And HITC can reveal that Sarr has emerged as a target for West Ham – who showed an interest in the former Watford man last summer, before he moved to Marseille.”
Sarr had been on the radar of some top Premier League clubs during his time at Watford.

Neville raved about versatile forward
And earlier this year Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville remarked how surprised he has been that a Premier League side has not taken the 25-year-old on.
“He’s a big, big talent, honestly he really is,” Neville said.
“We’ve seen his performances, he’s a shining light…when you let him have the ball, he can get it out of his feet and whip ridiculously good crosses in.
“So that’s when you’re thinking about the fact that you’ve got a real problem, as a full-back.”
At this stage bringing in Sarr – who is versatile, poses an aerial threat and boasts bags of pace – would be an excellent move for West Ham.
But it remains to be seen whether this has all been left far too late.
