Amadou Onana names the TWO Everton teammates helping him become ‘THE BEST’

Everton, at last, actually seems like a harmonious place to be after years of turmoil and unrest.

Their relegation dogfights were born of true anarchy from within, as Farhad Moshiri’s restless foolishness had seemingly doomed his club to the drop.

The first year, he got lucky. The second, he got Sean Dyche.

Since appointing the former Burnley boss things have been on a steady incline, minus a few bumps in the road, with the 52-year-old finally expelling those unwilling to buy into his hard-working philosophy.

Now, all he is left with are warriors, most of whom have showcased they are willing to put in the graft to take the Merseyside outfit back where it belongs.

One such star who has really taken to his methods is Amadou Onana, who showed his class amongst all the dross last term.

However, this campaign he has paired that with a tireless work ethic in the engine room that has even kept Idrissa Gana Gueye out of the side.

Speaking to Transfermarkt, the Belgian would actually reveal the duo within the dressing room who are aiding his rapid progress towards becoming ‘the best’, alongside his gaffer: ‘Yes, I think you can see it on the pitch. He’s [Abdoulaye Doucoure] someone I get on very, very well with. So off the pitch.

‘We also often go out for dinner with a few colleagues and sometimes at someone’s house. He’s someone who has helped me a lot together with Idrissa. They are two players who have a lot of experience.

‘Also Premier League experience, Idrissa with Paris Saint Germain. Those are the two players who have helped me the most. They make it easier for me. It’s a real pleasure to be able to play with them.’

Will Amadou Onana leave Everton?
Despite signing for £33m back in the summer of 2022, already reports have emerged linking the imperious 22-year-old with moves up the Premier League

That should come as no surprise, given the technical prowess wrapped inside his physically dominant 6 foot 4 frame. However, Dyche will not be keen to allow his prized asset to depart so easily, with the £100k-per-week powerhouse recently admitting his love for Everton too.

Especially to the likes of Newcastle United, who are one of the clubs touted with a swoop for the midfielder.

Others who have been noted are Manchester United and Chelsea, with the price tag expected to be astronomical given how much they initially paid just last year.
