“Former Toon Boss Ponders Stunning Return: Former Newcastle United Manager Opens Door for Shock Comeback to St. James’ Park”.

Former Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has acknowledged that he would consider an offer from Burnley if approached.

Reports indicated that the Clarets were preparing to contact the 62-year-old about their vacant managerial position. Burnley recently received about £10 million from Bayern Munich for Vincent Kompany just weeks after their relegation from the Premier League.

Kompany’s departure surprised many, as he only managed five top-flight wins all season. With his exit, Burnley now needs a new manager, and former Toon boss Pardew has been mentioned as a possible candidate.

Pardew has been out of work since leaving Greek club Aris in 2023. He previously led Newcastle to Europa League qualification 12 years ago and last managed in England with West Bromwich Albion.

His tenure with West Brom ended with relegation in 2017-18, but he remains hopeful for another opportunity. When asked about the Burnley rumors, Pardew downplayed the likelihood of him taking charge soon but expressed interest if invited for an interview.THE RETURN:"Former Newcastle United Manager Opens Door for Shock Comeback to St. James' Park...Read more

“Well, it obviously isn’t me (set to take charge imminently),” he told talkSPORT. “Otherwise it would be officially announced! It’s nice to be linked with them if nothing else.”

“I believe the squad is strong, the ownership is well-organized, and they have the financial resources—possibly even better positioned than Leicester last year to bounce back. So, I think whoever gets the job will have a great opportunity.

For me, it would be a fantastic challenge because I want to bring a team back to the Premier League. I’ve set up teams to return to the Premier League before, like West Ham and Southampton. So yes, I would be open to it.”
