Former England head coach Eddie Jones has revealed his dislike for the other home nations.
Jones is coming off the back of a hugely disappointing Rugby World Cup campaign with Australia, which saw the Wallabies get knocked out at the pool stage for the first time in their history.
Now without a job, Jones insists that there is no chance his next role would be with one of the other home nations, having led England to a Rugby World Cup final in 2019.
“No time for them, mate.”
Jones has never had a great relationship with England’s neighbouring countries, having called Wales a “sh***y little place” back in 2017 and also branded Ireland as “the scummy Irish”.
Jones insisted that he intends to continue coaching, with his future still up in the air. He said: “I’ve been coaching since ’96. I’m just gonna sit back and if someone offers me a job I’ll have to make sure it’s the right job and if it is then I’ll give it a go.
“I’d like to keep coaching internationally, I don’t think I want to go back and coach club.
“If there’s not (an opportunity), I’ve been a consultant for Suntory since 1996 so it’s the longest relationship ever. I’ll go back, I’ll start doing a bit with them in Japan and then just wait and see mate.”
