James Maddison delivers Yves Bissouma verdict after Tottenham win over Everton
Tottenham Hotspur are fully up and running in the Premier League thanks to their 4-0 rout over a hapless Everton outfit in north London.
Spurs were dominant against the Toffees as they were against Leicester on Monday night, but this time they were more clinical with their chances.
Ange Postecoglou’s charges opened the scoring in the 14th minute as Yves Bissouma fired an outstanding effort into the net from the edge of the box.
Tottenham then doubled their lead on 25 minutes as Son Heung-min made the most of Jordan Pickford’s heavy touch from a back pass to round the keeper and slot home.
Cristian Romero then added a third for the Lilywhites in the 71st minute, rising highest at a corner to nod home off the underside of the bar in his 100th club appearance.
Son then got his second of the game six minutes later, firing through Pickford’s legs after Micky van de Ven surged up the pitch all the way to the edge of the box.

James Maddison hails ‘ridiculous’ Yves Bissouma
The game saw Bissouma make his first competitive Spurs appearance of the season after missing out on the Foxes trip for disciplinary reasons.
And James Maddison, speaking after the game, lauded his teammate’s “ridiculous” abilities and urged him to keep working hard.
“The scoreline is quite devastating when you look at 4-0,” Maddison told Sky Sports, as transcribed by BBC Sport.
“I think we thoroughly deserved it. We dominated and we felt we should have had three points last Monday [against Leicester].
“We all know Yves’ [Bissouma] ability. He is a ridiculous player at times. He has got a skill not many have. The gaffer is a great man with good morals. He [Yves] has to keep working hard.
“The performance was there on Monday. It was a case of not putting our chances away. It’s important you try and put into practice what the manager wants. It’s about us trusting him.”
What next for Tottenham?
Tottenham, who are now on four points from the opening two games of their Premier League campaign, are on the road next.
The Lilywhites will be taking on Newcastle United on Sunday 1 September in a 1:30pm kick-off.
