Kristaps Porzingis reveals why partnership failed with former star teammate

Redick also pressed Porzingis on his chemistry with All-Star Luka Doncic and suggested the duo was in a “pissing match” during their tenure together.
“Early on, for sure,” Porzingis said. “I think we both tried to make it work. It’s just, I think communication, maturity on both of our parts should have been better.”
Those issues appear not to be of any concern for Porzingis in Boston as he meshes with All-Star teammates Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Jrue Holiday. The big man is hoping to return from a calf injury on Friday night to help Boston improve on an East-best 15-5 start to begin the season.
“I think more of just building chemistry as a team,” Porzingis said at Celtics practice on Wednesday. “Again, I’m added to this team, it’s something different, guys are getting used to playing with me, but you already see some glimpses of me and JB, JT, and all of us just getting a feel for each other. Jrue is here too, so it’s something new and we’re working to build that chemistry throughout the year.”
