Arsenal have been tipped to finish above Tottenham and Chelsea as the only London outfit in the Premier League top four this season. The Gunners and Spurs remain unbeaten so far this season after their hotly contested North London Derby clash on Sunday.

Things have not gone as well for Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino with the Blues currently sat down in 14th place. Chelsea spent over £350million in the summer transfer window, but injuries and poor form have seen them win just one of their opening six fixtures.

Ange Postecoglou’s side currently sit above their north London rivals on goal difference in fourth, whilst Arsenal – who are level on 14 points – sit in fifth. Mikel Arteta’s side have been hampered by injuries with Declan Rice the latest player to be sidelined with a back injury.

Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey are also among the injured players at the Emirates Stadium. Brennan Johnson came off injured for Spurs at the Emirates Stadium and is set to undergo scans on his hamstring this week.

Now, Bettingexpert’s supercomputer, BETSiE, ran it’s algorithm to predict how the 2023/24 Premier League will pan out after last weekend’s results which saw a stalemate in the North London Derby and Chelsea lose to Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.

The supercomputer simulated the Premier League season 100,000 times. The supercomputer takes into account all match results from last season (across all competitions), pre-season results and the current season as it progresses, projecting the the season based on both pre-season expectations and xG earned both for and against during the season.

Manchester City have been predicted to win a fourth consecutive league title, with Liverpool finishing eight points behind in second. Despite drawing with Tottenham, Arsenal are tipped to finish third with Newcastle rounding up the Champions League spots.

Spurs just miss out on the top four as Postecoglou’s side are tipped to finish in fifth – six points adrift of Newcastle. Meanwhile, Chelsea have been predicted to improve on their league position from last season, but only finish ninth and outside the European football qualification positions.

The supercomputer has given City a 72.7% chance on winning the Premier League this season. Arsenal have just a 6.9% chance of winning their first league title since 2004, whilst Tottenham only have a 0.3% chance – with Chelsea being predicted to have 0% chance of lifting the Premier League trophy this term.
