Steelers Finally Get Minkah Fitzpatrick Back
The Pittsburgh Steelers get their All-Pro safety back at practice.
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers had their All-Pro safety on the field for the first time in four weeks as Minkah Fitzpatrick returned to practice from a hamstring injury.
Fitzpatrick was a full participant to start the week, marking his first practice since injuring his hamstring in Week 8. Head coach Mike Tomlin said during his weekly press conference that the “light was on” for Fitzpatrick to be available this week, and fellow safety Damontae Kazee said after the team’s game in Cincinnati that he expects his running mate back against the Cardinals.
While it’s not certain, the expectation for Fitzpatrick in Week 13 would be to begin working his way back into a full-time role on gamedays. He’ll start if active, but Trenton Thompson could continue to fill playing time as Fitzpatrick finishes nursing his hamstring.
The Steelers are also hoping to have Montravius Adams back this week as the defensive tackle tries to recover from an ankle injury. Adams was a limited participant last week but took a step forward as a full participant to start this week.
Tomlin said both Fitzpatrick and Adams are hopeful to be on the field in Week 13 against the Cardinals
