“Flamengo Rejects Brighton’s Bid for Promising Fullback Wesley”

Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly made an offer for Flamengo fullback Wesley.

According to RTI Esporte, the Seagulls proposed €4 million for the young player, working through his representatives. However, Flamengo rejected the bid, considering it insufficient. It’s unclear if Brighton will make another offer.

The report suggests that Wesley’s future at the Rio de Janeiro club is uncertain and that a significant effort will be required to sign him. Portuguese club Famalicão had shown interest in a loan deal, but Flamengo dismissed this option.

In March, the same website mentioned that Brighton was preparing a €4 million bid for Wesley, allowing Flamengo to retain 20% of any future transfer. It appears that Brighton waited several months before making their move and now realize they need to increase their offer. Wesley’s representatives are expected to play a key role in any potential transfer.
