Wes Foderingham, goalkeeper, signs a free transfer deal with West Ham United.
Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has joined West Ham United on a free transfer. The 33-year-old left relegated Sheffield United after his contract ran out, and West Ham jumped at the chance to sign him. Foderingham will sign a two-year contract with the Irons and start a new chapter in his career at London Stadium after four years at Bramall Lane.
Foderingham joins West Ham as the new third-choice goalkeeper, competing with Lukasz Fabianski and Alphonse Areola. “It feels brilliant to be a Hammer,” Foderingham said (via the club’s official website). “As soon as I heard of the interest, it was something that I was keen to get sorted and get done and I’m just delighted to be here.” Foderingham becomes our second signing of the summer transfer window after Brazilian talent Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras.

Max Kilman, a defender for Wolverhampton Wanderers, is already under contract with us, but the Wanderers are hesitant to part with their captain. Lopetegui desires a reunion with the English defender, and Tim Steidten is exerting constant effort to finalize a deal. Two bids for Kilman have already been turned down. The second bid was supposedly a player-plus-cash trade, but Wolves were not interested.
However, reports say we will return with a third bid. Signing Kilman would be a major coup for the club as we could use someone with his enormous experience to captain the backline. While Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are all reportedly interested in Lille striker Jonathan David, we are unlikely to advance in that regard.
