“West Ham’s Tactical Shift in Bid for Vitão Signals Patience and Persistence”
West Ham United have reportedly adjusted their approach to sign Vitão from Internacional, according to Zero Hora.
The outlet reports on the latest developments in the Hammers’ pursuit of the center-back. Initially, Internacional rejected West Ham’s €7 million offer, demanding €10 million instead. In response, West Ham decided to observe the market and may soon make another bid, using this time to explore other options. Previously, West Ham’s €15 million attempt to sign Fabricio Bruno from Flamengo was rejected by the player.
Zero Hora adds that West Ham contacted agent Giuliano Bertolucci and initiated talks for Vitão, though no deal has been finalized. Vitão, still owned by Shakhtar Donetsk, returned to Brazil following the conflict in Ukraine and has a pre-contract with Internacional effective from July 1, meaning any transfer can only occur after that date.
