Ranger report: “It would be difficult to refuse” the offer.
The Rangers Review suggests that the Rangers might be persuaded to take an offer for Ridvan Yilmaz. The news outlet online stated on June 13 that the Gers are not actively looking to sell the left-back in order to raise money for any summer transfers.
But if the appropriate deal comes up, things might be different. Yilmaz has a price, just like every other player at the team. Although Philippe Clement is preparing for a long-term relationship with the 23-year-old, that might alter if the team receives an offer that is “deemed too good to turn down.” At Rangers, Philippe Clement will be eager to cling onto Ridvan Yilmaz. This summer, Clement hopes to hang onto Yilmaz.
Under the Belgian, the defender showed promise until an injury kept him out of play in March. Yilmaz’s influence on the team is evident in the Gers’ poor play in April and May. Throughout his two seasons with the team, he has sustained injuries on a regular basis; nevertheless, the Rangers Review reports that the Gers are optimistic about having those problems resolved during preseason.
Keeping Yilmaz would give the team two excellent left-back options after Jefte’s arrival.
Next season, when Clement’s team tries to pry the Scottish Premiership from Celtic’s hands, such depth might be crucial. Yilmaz’s potential departure from the team has been discussed. On June 10, the Turkish publication Sabah reported that Besiktas had expressed interest in re-signing Yilmaz.
Yilmaz’s agent, Necdet Ergezen, did, however, inform Gokmen Ozcan on June 10 that the player does not currently have any plans to return to Turkey, implying that he would be willing to remain at Ibrox.
