Last summer, the Turkish side secured a loan deal for Paul Onuachu from Russell Martin’s Southampton, and he impressively scored 15 goals in 21 Turkish Super Lig matches.

They are keen to retain him for the next season but have encountered difficulties negotiating with Southampton due to the club’s demands. Despite this, Trabzonspor remains persistent.

Dogan disclosed that Onuachu has expressed a desire to continue working with Trabzonspor coach Abdullah Avci beyond this season, with discussions focused on a new loan agreement.

“Onuachu told our coach that he wants to work with him,” Dogan was quoted as saying by Turkish daily Fotomac. He wants to stay at Trabzonspor.

“His club wants £15m. We are in talks on re-loaning.”

In addition to Trabzonspor, Besiktas and Southampton’s sister club Goztepe are also potential destinations for Onuachu.

Currently, Southampton is in discussions with the Turkish club, and it is suggested that Trabzonspor is exploring various options to secure Onuachu’s services.
