“‘Incredible’: Kieran Trippier Hints at Potential Newcastle United Transfer During England Duty”
Kieran Trippier expressed his excitement about playing for Newcastle United and captaining England at St James’ Park. Gareth Southgate named Trippier captain for England’s warm-up match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, marking the first England game on Tyneside in nearly 20 years.
The match saw a large turnout of Newcastle fans who cheered on England to a 3-0 victory. Speaking to the media in Germany, Trippier described the experience as “incredible” and encouraged the FA to host more national team games across the country.
“It’s amazing to play for Newcastle,” Trippier said amid transfer speculation. “The supporters are incredible. Leading my country as captain at Newcastle made it even more special. Traveling with England is always a unique experience.
Playing for Newcastle and England is fantastic. This season has been full of special moments at Newcastle. Captaining England that night was a very proud moment for me.”
