After “secret negotiations” in Brighton, a Seagulls player is expected to be sold for €20–22 million.

In an effort to finalize a permanent transfer for Deniz Undav, Brighton & Hove Albion and VfB Stuttgart will have “secret negotiations” over him. Sport BILD claims that the striker is close to realizing his goal of staying with the German team. After a dismal first season at Brighton, Undav joined Stuttgart on loan this season. Since then, he has emerged as one of the team’s main players, combining devastating skills with Serhou Guirassy to propel the German team into the Champions League.

Although he has publicly urged the two teams to reach a deal, he is eager to make the agreement permanent. However, Stuttgart has long been troubled by Brighton’s €20 million asking price. According to Sport BILD, this is still the situation today and that the Germans must pay out a “huge package” of between €20 and €22 million plus €5 million in salary. Thus, a trip has been arranged for Stuttgart authorities to speak with Brighton in an attempt to resolve matters.

They would prefer to meet in person to finalize the agreement, so they will travel to Brighton to do so. It remains to be seen if they can reach a consensus because the Seagulls are refusing to budge from a price that Stuttgart has long maintained, despite having Champions League funding behind them.
