“Football Insider’s Conflicting Reports: Celtic’s Desire to Re-Sign Felipe Jota vs. the Impossibility”

If there were a contest for the worst, most unreliable, and outright brutal football website, Football Insider would undoubtedly take the prize.

No one else can compete.

There are a few contenders, like the Daily Record, which demonstrates how low they’ll go for a story.

But my goodness, they do come up with some nonsense!

How on earth can people turn to this website for a story and actually believe it’s credible?

Nothing they report ever comes true.

Sure, a broken clock is right twice a day, and eventually, they might get one story correct.

But that’s just it—hitting the jackpot is nearly impossible.

The odds are always against you when gambling.

Today, Football Insider brings us a story claiming Celtic would love to re-sign Felipe Jota.

Which then goes on to completely contradict itself.

Of course, we have an “exclusive” from supposed expert Alan Hutton, who claims to know everything about Celtic and their operations.

Here’s how the article starts:

Celtic would love to re-sign Jota this summer if Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad are looking to offload him.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Scotland defender Alan Hutton claimed the club would be happy to have the winger back but wouldn’t be willing to pay his asking price.

Really?

Why claim we’d love to have the winger back but then contradict that by saying we wouldn’t pay the asking price?

What’s the point of this article, then?

You might as well end it after the first paragraph.

But Hutton keeps going:

After leaving Parkhead for Al-Ittihad in a £25 million deal just a year ago, Hutton insists both the club and the fans would welcome the 25-year-old back.

Since his move last summer, Jota has played in just 25 games in Saudi Arabia after being left out of the registered squad for the first half of the season.

Fair enough, I’ll give him credit for that part.

Of course, we’d love to have him back.

I’d love to win the lottery too.

AND WHILE I’M AT IT, I’D LOVE TO LOSE MY DAD BOD AND PLAY FOR CELTIC AS WELL.

There are lots of things I’d love as a Celtic fan.

But the point is, I can’t have them.

Here’s Hutton’s inside scoop:

The Saudi club is now looking to move him on this summer, with a potential return to Celtic suggested after his previous success at Parkhead.

Hutton thinks the club would consider a deal if the opportunity arose, but the asking price would likely prevent a permanent move.

What’s the asking price then, Alan??

Well, apparently, Alan doesn’t know and just improvises from there:

“From a Celtic point of view, they would love to see him back,” he told Football Insider.

“What he did at the club was outstanding, and they got a lot of money for him. The problem is, he’s only played one season, and I’m sure he signed a long-term deal, so getting him out would cost a pretty penny.

I don’t think they’d be willing to pay that amount. If there was a deal to be done, I’m sure Celtic would like to explore it, and I’m sure all the fans would want him back.”

Wow, just wow!

What an incredible insight into a non-story.
