For the majority of Premier League teams, the January transfer window has been a pretty quiet one, that’s if you’re not Tottenham Hotspur.
After backing Ange Postecoglou in the summer, Spurs have gone again, this time adding to their forward line and their defence, with the big-name addition being Timo Werner on a loan deal.

“He was young when he was at Liverpool, wasn’t he,” said Brazil. “He didn’t really get chances a lot. He has since flourished.
“Suddenly, you are thrown into the deep end if he goes to Tottenham. Don’t get me wrong, nothing wrong with Bournemouth.
“But if you go to Spurs, then you are expecting to hit the net on a regular basis. It’s a big, big shout. One he probably couldn’t say no to. I wouldn’t say it was guaranteed to work.”
