“Kevin Durant Claps Back at Fan’s ‘LeBron Style’ Remark”

Kevin Durant responded to a fan who suggested he should leave the Phoenix Suns and return to the Oklahoma City Thunder to restore his NBA legacy.

“The only way KD can redeem his legacy is if he returns to the Thunder and wins their first-ever championship. LeBron style. Then all his sins will be forgiven. We good? @KDTrey5,” the fan posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Durant did not let this comment go unanswered.

In 2014, LeBron James returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers after winning two championships with the Miami Heat. With Kyrie Irving and by trading Andrew Wiggins for Kevin Love, the Cavaliers were poised to contend. They reached three consecutive NBA Finals and secured their first championship with a historic 3-1 comeback against the Golden State Warriors in 2016.

Durant replied, “You ain’t God. Go get ready for work.”DURANT FIRE'S BACK:"Kevin Durant Responds to Fan Criticism of ‘LeBron Style’ Comment...Read more

After the 2016 season, Durant left the Thunder to join the Warriors, winning two titles and two Finals MVPs. However, he grew restless and departed following an injury-plagued and contentious final season, culminating in the 2019 Finals loss to the Toronto Raptors.

Durant then teamed up with Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn. The Nets went all-in by trading for James Harden, but their Big Three experiment failed. Durant requested a trade to the Suns last season.

The Suns, like the Nets, went all-in, forming their own Big Three by trading for Bradley Beal to join Durant and Devin Booker. Despite these efforts, their first season ended poorly with a first-round sweep.
