“Clinton Nsiala’s Heartfelt Message as Rangers Transfer Confirmed”
Rangers have made their third summer signing by confirming the acquisition of young defender Clinton Nsiala from AC Milan.
The club needed significant roster changes this summer and has already started making moves. After losing the title, Rangers let several experienced players, including Borna Barisic, John Lundstram, Ryan Jack, and Kemar Roofe, leave as their contracts expired.
New additions include left-back Jefte, who finally joined after being targeted in January, and Oscar Cortes, returning on loan from Lens. While Rangers are linked with further potential signings, Nsiala’s transfer was unexpected.
Nils Koppen aims to bring a fresh approach to the team by focusing on young talents with high potential, as evidenced by signing 20-year-old Nsiala. Initially reported amidst interest from Bundesliga clubs, Rangers confirmed Nsiala’s arrival on July 1st. Nsiala, who joined Milan from Nantes in 2021, has been on Milan’s bench for first-team games over the past year.

Nsiala expressed pride in representing Milan but said his journey continues with Rangers, who secured an exciting deal. “It’s time to say goodbye to this team after three years of personal and professional growth. This team became my family, taking me as a child and leaving me as a man. Thanks to coach Ignazio Abate for believing in me,” Nsiala wrote. “Proud to wear the AC Milan shirt. The journey continues.”
While it remains uncertain how quickly Nsiala will join Rangers’ first team, he aims for senior minutes. Rangers’ recruitment director, Nils Koppen, expressed excitement about the move. “We are excited to add a talented young player like Clinton to the squad. We believe he can develop and take his next steps under our manager, Philippe Clement,” said Koppen. “We look forward to welcoming Clinton to Glasgow as we shape the squad for the 2024/25 campaign.”
