Kian Tydeman, a playmaker, is keen to carry over the momentum from his strong season-ending play into AFC Bournemouth‘s upcoming campaign.
The 19-year-old scored seven goals in six Professional Development League games by the conclusion of 2023–2024.
As a result, Tydeman finished 29 games for Alan Connell’s team with 11 goals and 7 assists. In their first season at category two, he contributed to their third-place finish in the South Group.
Tydeman just signed a contract extension with Vitality Stadium.
“I have truly enjoyed my five years here,” he declared. In particular this season, I have learned a great deal. I am incredibly happy with how well I have improved with Al.
“I believe I performed pretty well, scoring a good number of goals and providing several assists before the end of the season. It greatly boosts my confidence for the upcoming season.
We demonstrated in the most recent season that we were prepared for a category two league. Although it stung not to place in the top two, we showed our abilities.
Togetherness has been a crucial term this season. We have such a strong bond as a group that it is amazing. No other squad, in my opinion, is as cohesive as this one.
“We are playing really well because we are a team that works really hard.”
Before joining the Cherries at the under-14 level, Tydeman was a Fulham player. He expressed his thanks to his parents, Dene and Anne, for their unwavering support.
“I owe my parents so much. The trips they made to Bournemouth and subsequently Fulham,” he continued.
“Emotional interactions are not my strong suit! But we recently spoke when I received an offer for a new contract, and I’m incredibly happy about it.
“A new contract demonstrates that their efforts were not in vain. To express my gratitude for their assistance in helping me reach my current position.
“They and the coaches here have my sincerest gratitude.”
