“Newcastle Star Aims to Break Free After ‘Best Year’: Player Eager for Permanent Transfer Away from Magpies”
The Scottish winger is currently with Newcastle United and has a year left on his contract at St James’ Park. However, since he hasn’t played for Eddie Howe’s team since October 2022, it’s clear his future at the club is uncertain.
To revive his career, Fraser joined Championship side Southampton on loan, where he scored eight goals and helped them secure promotion back to the Premier League. He played a crucial role in their play-off final victory against Leeds, and his 173 Premier League appearances will be a significant asset for Southampton next season.
Reflecting on the promotion and play-off final triumph with Southampton, Fraser expressed: “It’s probably the best feeling I’ve had in my career. I’ve had other promotions, but this one stands out.
