It seems that James Tavernier is dismissing rumors that he will probably depart the Rangers this summer. The team captain has been linked to a move to Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia to play alongside Steven Gerrard, as his old manager seeks to bring in seasoned players he has previously worked with. The 32-year-old right-back would profit handsomely from the move, but he appears to have already decided on his future.
Additionally, manager Philippe Clement recently stated that he would rather have the captain stay, and Tavernier has now responded to the rumors that he is leaving.
With two years left on his present contract, the defender says he’s pleased in Glasgow and that he intends to see it through before working with the management to prepare for next season. The Englishman remarked, “I’m sure the manager has ideas of what he wants to do next season.” “I have two years left and I am fully focused on the job at hand, I give my everything every single day for this club.”
