BREAKING: Brazilian full-back signs four-year contract with Rangers

Brazilian center back Subject to a work permit and clearance, Jefte leaves Fluminense to sign a four-year contract with Rangers. Under the condition of receiving international clearance and having a valid work visa application processed, Rangers has signed Brazilian full-back Jefte to a four-year contract.

Following a season-long loan with Cypriot First Division winners APOEL, the defender departs Fluminense for Glasgow.

With the signing of a long-term contract that runs until 2028, the 20-year-old joins manager Philippe Clement’s roster that is already set for the upcoming campaign, joining Mohamed Diomande, who joined on loan with a buyout clause in January.

Jefte made the following statement following his signing with the Ibrox club: “I am truly thrilled to join Rangers; this is a great chance for me to advance my career with such a storied and prosperous organization.

“I am already looking forward to meeting my new teammates, working with the coaching staff, and continuing to learn and develop my game as a Rangers player.”

Clement declared: “I am thrilled that Jeffre has joined our team at such an early stage of the summer season. He is an exciting young defender.”
