Barry Ferguson has hinted that Jack Butland’s summer departure from Ibrox may be made possible by the Rangers’ purchase of Liam Kelly.
According to sources, the 28-year-old goalie is almost certain to make a “stunning” comeback to Ibrox when his contract with Motherwell expires. It is anticipated that Robby McCrorie and Jon McLaughlin will depart this summer.
However, reports suggest that Butland is also open to leaving Ibrox. Former captain Ferguson said on GoRadio on May 22, that Butland would only move on for a number one spot somewhere else, but the move could pave the way for an exit because “every player has his price.”
