‘Jefte Kickstarts Rangers’ Summer Transfer Revolution as Left Back ‘On His Way’ to Glasgow’
Jefte appears poised to become Rangers’ first summer signing as the Brazilian left-back prepares to fly into Glasgow.
The 20-year-old, a long-term target for Philippe Clement, was set to join the Ibrox club in January. However, a deal with Fluminense was blocked by his loan club, APOEL, which refused to release him early.
Now, Jefte is set for his dream move after receiving the go-ahead to travel to Scotland, where he will undergo a medical and sign a long-term contract. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed, “Rangers are set to complete the deal to sign Brazilian LB Jefté. He is on his way to complete the medical tests and sign the contract as a new Rangers player. This move was prepared for the summer window back in January.”
Jefte might soon be joined by Panamanian international Jose Cordoba, as Rangers are negotiating a deal with Bulgarian club Levski Sofia. However, the Light Blues could face competition from Norwich City for his signature.
