The Bruins players were still clearly hurting from their elimination from the Stanley Cup playoffs when they gave one last interview to the media on Sunday before dispersing for the offseason. The Boston roster will look different when they all get together again following trades and free agency.
The Bruins are in a position to pursue impact free players since they are expected to have over $22 million in cap space available, and possibly more if Linus Ullmark is sold. Top players are eager to join Don Sweeney’s sales staff if he needs any assistance persuading them to sign with the Bruins. While David Pastrnak was delighted to participate, he did not have any recommendations on the kind of player the Bruins should target.
