Rangers want to sign Adama Traore, a two-time Hungarian league champion, from Ferencvaros this summer, according to Africafoot. According to the news outlet’s website (16 May), the 28-year-old Mali international is open to leaving the club after winning the league in each of his previous two seasons.
Rangers are one of the most interested parties, along with Premier League club Fulham and Austrian giants Sturm Graz, and with only one year left on his contract, Ferencvaros are plotting his departure. Rangers require attacking reinforcements. Philippe Clement has made it clearly apparent that there will be significant changes at Ibrox this summer, describing the squad as “at the end of its cycle.” Fabio Silva’s loan is set to expire, with the player expressing no desire in returning and the club deciding not to bring him back, while Kemar Roofe has also confirmed his departure at the end of his deal.
