According to reports, Jale Vatabua will leave Pau after being there for 12 years.

France Bleu reports that the 32-year-old is poised to join Dax in the ProD2. While there’s no official confirmation of the signing yet, Dax’s general director, Adrien Asteggiano, has announced it.

Dax, recently promoted to the ProD2 and currently occupying 5th place, is also expected to secure the services of second row Dino Casadeï from Mont de Marsan.

Since making his international debut in 2017, the powerful centre has been a pivotal figure for Fiji. Predominantly playing in France, he has been exclusively with Pau in the Top 14 league since 2012. Vatabua initially joined Pau in 2012 from the Australian Super Rugby team, the Melbourne Rebels, after a stint with Waikato.

Vatabua, who stands at 6’2 and weighs 112kg, is renowned for his robust running and physical presence. He represented Fiji at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
