BRILLIANT IDEAL; O’Hara says one Tottenham defender good enough for Manchester City

Jamie O’Hara has said that Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie is good enough for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

The former Tottenham Hotspur player has praised Destiny Udogie on talkSPORT (6:20pm, September 2, 2023) after watching him in action against Burnley at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham won the match with ease.

Udogie has established himself as the first-choice left-back under manager Ange Postecoglou this season.

The 20-year-old has started all four of Tottenham’s Premier League matches this campaign.

The Italy Under-21 international has given two assists in those games.

And former Spurs player and talkSPORT pundit O’Hara believes that Udogie is so good that he could play for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, who won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League last season.

O’Hara said about Udogie: “This season he looks absolutely brilliant. I mean, he looks like a left-back that Manchester City would want in their team. He is that good.”

Udogie is only 20 now and is still developing and progressing as a footballer.

The Italian is not the finished article yet.

It is scary to think just how good Udogie could be in the coming years.

Although Udogie is only 20 now, he already has a lot of experience in first-team football.

Udogie spent last season on loan at Udinese from Tottenham.

The left-back made 31 starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A for Udinese last season.

Udogie scored three goals and gave four assists in those games.

During the 2021-22 season, the Italian youngster made 29 starts and six substitute appearances in Serie A for Udinese.

Udogie scored five goals and provided four assists in those matches.
