Report: Paratici wants Tottenham to offer £25m plus a player in a deal to sign 26-year-old

Inter Live have suggested that Fabio Paratici is quite dismissive of the competition Inter Milan pose to Tottenham in their pursuit of Albert Gudmundsson.

It is claimed that Paratici, who works as a consultant for Spurs, ‘could ruin’ Inter’s plans to sign Gudmundsson by offering €30m (£25.7m) plus a player for the 26-year-old.

The outlet remarks that the Italian director, who still has ‘great influence’ at Tottenham, ‘mocks’ the Nerrazzuri’s efforts to land the Icelandic international.

Inter Live state that the Serie A league leaders are aware that Spurs can outbid them and that Genoa will wait for offers from the Premier League for their star player.

Paratici wants Spurs to sign Albert Gudmundsson
The report reveals that Paratici is ‘very attentive’ to Gudmundsson’s situation and believes that Spurs can win the race for the Iceland international.

He wants the North London club to offer €28m-€30m (£24m-£25.7m) plus Djed Spence to convince Genoa to let Gudmundsson leave.

While the Serie A club have an option to buy Spence for €10m (£8.5m), Spurs could dismantle that and offer the right-back to the Italian club as a sweetener in the deal to sign the attacking midfielder.

The only possible issue Tottenham might have in the race for Gudmundsson is if the player prefers to remain in Serie A. However, one would think that Spurs would not be laying the groundwork for a deal unless the 26-year-old’s agent has hinted that he is willing to join them.
