Former Tennessee football quarterback Joe Milton III might not be the highest-rated prospect at the NFL combine, but he does have one of the most impressive traits among quarterbacks.

His arm strength is off the charts.

Former Vol Geoff Courtney was named head football coach at Farragut High School in Farragut, Tennessee on Friday.

Courtney is Farragut’s 14th head coach in program history.

He replaces his father, Eddie Courtney, who retired in March after 28 years as the Admirals’ head coach. Eddie Courtney won 204 games during his head coaching career.

Geoff Courtney played at Farragut from 2002-05 and earned All-Region 2-5A honors.

After high school, he played for the Vols from 2007-09 after redshirting in 2006. He was a wide receiver and holder for Tennessee, and was a member of the SEC All-Academic Team in 2007.
