One of the worst moments of the Tennessee Vols’ 2023 season was easily wide receiver Bru McCoy’s brutal season-ending injury that occurred during UT’s win against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

McCoy suffered a fracture and dislocated ankle after getting tackled in the second quarter against the Gamecocks.

The California native, who quickly became a fan favorite in Knoxville after transferring from USC ahead of the 2022 season, missed the rest of the 2023 season due to the injury.

McCoy, who is returning to Tennessee in 2024 for his final season of eligibility, recently joined The Players Lounge Tennessee and he was asked by guest host Josh Dobbs how he felt leaving the field the night of his injury.
