Nnadi has been a stalwart along the Chiefs’ defensive line in each of the last six seasons, appearing in 98 games with 86 starts. He appeared in 17 regular-season games and one postseason contest last year – starting each of them – before suffering a triceps injury against Miami that ended his campaign.

The 27-year-old Nnadi is one of several players to re-sign with the Chiefs in recent days, joining defensive tackle Chris Jones, linebacker Drue Tranquill, defensive tackle Mike Pennel, safety Deon Bush and defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton

The Kansas City Chiefs have had a quiet free agency period everywhere except for one position. The Chiefs brought back yet another one of their own from the interior defensive line, re-signing defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi, according to SportsTrust Adviors, his agency. Matt Verderame of SI tweeted that it’s a one-year deal for Nnadi.

Nnadi, a three-time Super Bowl champion during his six seasons with the Chiefs, is now slated to return for his seventh after being a third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
