Steelers Re-Sign LS Christian Kuntz
The Pittsburgh Steelers have locked up their long snapper position.
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers will keep their long-snapper in house for the foreseeable future after signing him to a long-term deal.
Kuntz, a local product out of Pittsburgh that played his college ball at Duquesne, has inked a three-year contract with the Steelers, according to a report from Chris Halicke of DK Pittsburgh Sports. Financial terms have not yet been disclosed.
He began his career as an undrafted free agent with the New England Patriots in 2017 and that was the one of few multi-year contract he signed as a professional football player. He then joined the Broncos on a one-year deal and after leaving Denver, signed with the Steelers for two years and $1.08 million.
Kuntz has signed one-year deals with the Steelers ever since and, despite the franchise not tendering him during his restricted free agency period, re-signed with Pittsburgh this week.
He’s appeared in 51 games for the Steelers, which represents the only regular season NFL action of his career.
