Everton: The Esk raises Farhad Moshiri question as ‘significant’ 777 Partners news emerges
After a significant investor in 777 Partners pulled out all of their assets, questions have been asked of Farhad Moshiri surrounding the possible takeover of Everton.
The Esk, who has been forthcoming in his criticism of 777, has insisted that if one of the company’s largest investors, A-CAP, thought to have ploughed over $2billion [£1.57billion] into the business, doesn’t trust them, then Everton shouldn’t either.
This is the latest in a string of concerns surrounding the prospective takeover, with the Premier League having already delayed making a decision.
As shared on X [4 March], The Esk said: “This company called A-CAP, a gentleman called Kenneth King told the world that they were withdrawing all of their assets from 777, and they’re doing so because they’re under pressure because of their association with 777.
“He made it clear that this is as a result of 777’s mismanagement. So here is somebody who is a big backer, we believe he backed them to the tune of more than $2billion. He’s saying that he is withdrawing all of that funding because it’s damaging his business.
“This is one of the biggest funders, if not their biggest funder, saying we have to do this to protect our own business.
“Their business is much bigger and stronger than Everton Football Club, which again points to the question: if a really serious, significant backer and investor of 777 no longer has faith in their ability to manage their assets, why on earth does Farhad Moshiri have that faith?”

777 Partners are still awaiting a verdict from the Premier League’s owners and directors test to be granted permission to complete their takeover of Everton.

Several concerns have emerged surrounding the group, including protests from fans over the other clubs in their portfolio and questions regarding the strength and origin of their finances, with this the latest in a string of issues.
Another figure who has been particularly critical of the potential takeover is Simon Jordan, who has questioned 777 and their motives behind the deal, having previously claimed Everton fans should be very worried about the possibility of the takeover going through.
