Jesse Marsch says attacker Everton sold for £22m was absolutely abysmal in training
Fresh from his appearance on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Jesse Marsch has been talking about things relating to Everton once again.
Having analysed their clash with Crystal Palace earlier in the week, the former Leeds United coach was well-spoken and insightful throughout a thoroughly interesting segment both before and after the match.
He even took the time to praise Sean Dyche for one tactical manoeuvre he made mid-game too which he felt changed the game, bringing on Jack Harrison.
However, since then he has been chatting elsewhere, and has actually thrown light-hearted shade at one former Everton player.

Speaking to CBS Sports, the two hosts press Marsch for an answer to their rather unprofessional question.
‘Have you ever had a guy where you’re like ‘Man the guy just stinks in training’, they ask.
‘Yeah there’s a lot,’ Marsch laughs back before they press him for names.

He then goes on to outline three of his former players, one of which might be of note to Evertonians.
The 50-year-old notes: ‘In New York it was Kemar Lawrence, in Leeds it was Crysencio Summerville, Ademola Lookman maybe at Leipzig.’

Upon bursting onto the scene with his late goal against Manchester City, back in 2017, expectations were high for Lookman.
After all, he was entering Everton at the right time, buoyed by their newfound financial power and seemingly progressing under Ronald Koeman.
However, this blistering start to life at Goodison Park proved to be a false dawn, and in the years following he would fail to live up to the immense potential expected when the club spent £7.5m on his services.
Making a profit though with his £22m sale, there was widespread contentment with his eventual departure.
That was until he made his way to the Serie A, where he began tearing up Italian football with his pace and trickery.
Last season saw the Nigeria international score 13 times in the league whilst assisting eight more, and this year he already has ten goal contributions from just 18 appearances.
He is enjoying the form of his career with Atalanta, and making the Toffees perhaps regret their decision.
However, they could not wait for him to mature in the way he has done, with Marsch’s comments perhaps revealing a poor attitude that has hampered this progress.
