Former St. Louis Rams running back Carnell “Cadillac” Williams is back in the NFL for the first time as a coach, as he’s reportedly joining the Las Vegas Raiders as the team’s running backs coach.
Williams played just one season for the Rams in 2011, and primarily served a backup role. In 11 games, including just one start, he rushed for 361 yards and one touchdown.
Williams is more known for his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, whom he spent six seasons with and won Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2005.
Since retiring after the 2011 season, Williams has made a name for himself as a coach. He spent the past five seasons at his alma mater Auburn, even serving as an interim head coach late in the 2022 season.
FEB 14 RAMS ADD TO STAFF According to reports from NFL reporter Paul Kuharsky, the Los Angeles Rams have hired former Tennessee Titans director of football administration John Streicher to the staff as the team’s new coordiantor of Football Strategy.
Streicher had been with the Titans since 2018 in various positions, before being the firing of Mike Vrabel this year.
In his most recent role with Tennessee, Streicher assisted the team with in-game decisions, game management, and other various aspects of game strategy.
FEB 13 NEW 2024 SWAG? The Los Angeles Rams are heading into the offseason looking to make changes throughout the roster and take the next step in 2024.
However, roster additions might not be the only changes they plan to make.
In a recent video released on X, the team has seemingly teased a new uniform for the 2024 season – one that could contain ‘A piece of history’.
The plan is to unveil the new jerseys on Tuesday.
FEB 11 RAMS IN SUPER BOWL The Los Angeles Rams might not have made it to Super Bowl LVIII, but there is still a reason for fans to tune in.
Taking part in the big game on Sunday will be two former Rams players – and now San Francisco 49ers – defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day and backup QB Brandon Allen.
Joseph Day was with the Rams from 2019-2021, helping the Rams on the quest for their Super Bowl LVI win. In that time, he played in 39 games, starting 38, making 137 tackles, six sacks, nine tackles for loss and 14 QB hits.
Allen was with L.A. for two seasons in 2017 and 2018 but never saw the field.
FEB 6 MAHOMES LIKES STAFFORD The Kansas City Chiefs are set to face off against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday.
Arguably the biggest star of the show that day – outside of Taylor Swift – will be Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is looking to capture his third Super Bowl title.
When speaking with the media on Tuesday, Mahomes was asked about which quarterbacks he idolized growing up. And one of the players he mentioned was the Rams’ own Matthew Stafford.
“If there was one quarterback… I loved watching Aaron Rodgers, I liked watching Brett Favre, I liked watching Matthew Stafford,” Mahomes said. “Guys that were kind of extending plays, making plays happen. I liked watching Tony Romo a ton, growing up in that East Texas area.”
Mahomes and Stafford nearly faced off in Super Bowl LVI. And were it not for some heroics by Bengals QB Joe Burrow, who brought Cincinnati back from a 21-3 deficit to win the game, they would have.
Instead, Mahomes watched Stafford hoist the trophy, using it as motivation for the following season, when he would bring it back to Kansas City.
JAN 28 49ERS TO SUPER BOWL LVIII The Los Angeles Rams NFC West arch-rival San Francisco 49ers are on their way back to the Super Bowl, coming from behind and knocking off the Detroit Lions 34-31 in Santa Clara.
The Lions, who at one point were led by former Rams QB Jared Goff, led by a commanding 24-7 margin heading into the half.
However, a big third quarter from the 49ers tied up the game, followed by a late decisive touchdown run from MVP candidate Christian McCaffrey to put the game away.
Goff ended the game 25 of 41 for 273 yards and a touchdown, with no interceptions, leading the Lions on their deepest run in the playoffs in more than three decades.
JAN 6 NACUA TIES GROMAN Coming into Sunday’s game vs. the 49ers, Rams rookie star wideout Puka Nacua needed four catches for 29 yards to finish the year with the most catches and yards in NFL history for a rookie receiver.
And after one drive in which he was targeted three times, the Rams have gotten him on the cusp of breaking both, with Nacua catching a 19-yard score from Carson Wentz to tie the game up at 7-7.
As it stands now, Nacua has two catches for 28 yards and a score, meaning he needs two catches and one yard to break both records.
JAN 3 DARNOLD TO START VS RAMS With the NFC’s top seed already locked up, the San Francisco 49ers are using Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Rams to get some extra rest before the postseason.
The 49ers already announced that star running back Christian McCaffrey will miss Sunday’s game. Now, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that quarterback Brock Purdy will sit as well, with backup Sam Darnold starting in his place.
Darnold, The No. 3 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, has played sparingly in his first season with the 49ers. The former New York Jets and Carolina Panthers quarterback has completed 12 of 20 passes for 108 yards and one touchdown in nine appearances this season.
With the Rams also starting Carson Wentz over Matthew Stafford on Sunday, this game will officially be a battle of the backups.
DEC 31 RAMS BACK ON TOP The Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants were tied for much of the second quarter on Sunday, but a pass from Matthew Stafford to Cooper Kupp on second and goal gave L.A. a 14-7 lead late in the first half. You can view the play below.
The Rams can clinch a playoff berth on Sunday with a win and a Seattle Seahawks loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers later today.
DEC 24 LIONS CHRISTMAS PRESENT The Los Angeles Rams had their eyes on a few games this weekend in terms of playoff positioning.
One of those games was the NFC North matchup between the Lions and Vikings. A Lions win would give the Rams another leg up on the Vikings, and in the process give them the NFC North Title, and guarantee them a playoff spot.
And that is exactly what happened for L.A., with Matthew Stafford’s old team taking down the Vikings and sending them to 7-8, creating a two-game gap for the Rams.
The Rams also hoped for the Falcons, Packers, an Seahawks to lose, which did not happen. But after a big win over the Commanders, they will take what they can get for this week.
The Rams will also have their eyes on the Bears, who are currently ahead of the Arizona Cardinals.
DEC 21 STAFFORD TO NACUA FOR FIRST BLOOD The Los Angeles Rams struck first on Thursday night after a drive that started deep in their own territory ended with a passing touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua on fourth and goal.

DEC 17 WILLIAMS FINDS THE ENDZONE The Los Angeles Rams found the endzone first against the Washington Commanders as Kyren Williams capped off a 10-play drive with a one-yard touchdown run to give L.A. an early 10-0 lead.
Williams’ touchdown was just a continuation of a hot start as he has totaled 69 yards rushing on 11 carries after just three offensive drives for the Rams.
DEC 10 RAMS BACK IN FRONT The Los Angeles Rams struck first on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens with a field goal, but the Ravens responded later in the first half with a touchdown to take a 7-3 lead at home.
Then, the Rams put together another solid offensive drive, one that ended on a passing score from Matthew Stafford to Cooper Kupp to reclaim the lead at 10-3. You can view the play below.
DEC 3 FIRST CAREER TD FOR ROBINSON The Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns were tied at 13 late in the third quarter, but a strong drive from Matthew Stafford and company put L.A. back in front.
Stafford found wideout Demarcus Robinson in the end zone from seven yards out to give the Rams the lead once again in the receivers first career touchdown. It marks Stafford’s second passing touchdown of the day, and you can view the play below.
NOV 26 BACK IN FRONT The Los Angeles Rams trailed 8-7 in the early portions of the second quarter on Sunday, but that didn’t last very long.
Rams QB Matthew Stafford connected with Tyler Higbee for a touchdown from five yards out, and L.A. reclaimed an early lead over its division rival Arizona Cardinals. This marked the second scoring connection for the duo on the day.

The Rams announced the addition of Henderson via the team’s official Twitter account on Wednesday hours after they designated fellow running back Kyren Williams for return from the injured reserve.
NOV 21 HENDERSON CUT The Los Angeles Rams have released running back Darrell Henderson Jr., clearing a spot on the 53-man roster for the return of Kyren Williams from the injured reserve.
Henderson was brought back to L.A. for his second stint with the team after Williams went down with an ankle injury in the Week 6 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The 26-year-old played in four games for the Rams before being cut, totaling 112 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 46 carr
