Luton Town boss Rob Edwards makes Everton points admission ahead of Manchester United clash
Luton Town boss Rob Edwards has shared a points admission with regards to Everton and the Premier League table.
The Toffees were docked 10 points in October, but they have appealed that decision and are awaiting a verdict in the coming days.

As things stand, Everton are one point behind Luton in the final relegation spot, but Edwards is taking no notice of the official table.
“I keep getting the analyst to update the table [with Everton’s 10 points restored],” he is quoted as saying by The Athletic [18 February].
“I don’t want to show the players all the time because I don’t want to flatten them, but we have used it and said, ‘This is the table’.
“We’re in the bottom three and we’re one point behind Nottingham Forest (now four points), under that dotted line, and need to try to get out of it.”

The Athletic article, written by Oliver Kay, adds that it is “unlikely” the 10-point penalty will be overturned in full.
Everton awaiting Premier League points appeal verdict
The Premier League table never lies, so we are told, but this season it really does. Everton are either one point from safety, nine points clear of danger or anything in between.
Everton are expected to find out between now and the end of next week where they actually sit in the table, which is good news for everyone.
However, there is then the small matter of the second PSR charge that is looming, and that could potentially drag on until a week after the season ends.

If Edwards is going to continue with his approach to looking at the table in this tense relegation scrap, he will have to also factor in the possible second charge for both Everton and Nottingham Forest.
What Luton have in their favour is that their fate is in their own hands, with a game in hand against Manchester United on Sunday (19 February) to also factor in.
All Everton can do is continue getting some points on the board and hope these two cases go in our favour.
