Premier League club have made direct contact with £55m Tottenham player, they really want him

Tottenham Hotspur have made four exciting additions so far this summer as they look to assemble a squad capable of finishing inside the top four.
Spurs have just signed Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke in a £65m deal which has taken their total spending to just over £100m.
Ange Postecoglou is still thought to be keen on signing another attacker, with Eberechi Eze high on his transfer wishlist.
But, to facilitate further arrivals, they’ll need to move players out the door in order to comply with Profit and Sustainability regulations.
With that said, one of their players is attracting interest from Aston Villa.

Aston Villa makes direct contact with Giovani Lo Celso
Aston Villa has been linked to Giovani Lo Celso for most of the summer transfer window with Unai Emery keen on reuniting with his former player.
Now, it has just emerged, that Villa has made direct contact with Lo Celso to notify him that they’re interested in bringing him to the West Midlands, according to TyC Sports.
The Argentina international has a year left on his deal at Tottenham so he’s thought to be available for the right fee.
At this stage, he has the choice between Villa and Real Betis, which is the club where he enjoyed the best football of his career.
Giovani Lo Celso price tag
Lo Celso completed a £55m switch to Spurs in 2019 but across his 108 appearances, he’s failed to really live up to his price tag.
Indeed, Spurs will receive nowhere near that fee for him this summer, especially due to his contract situation, but perhaps an offer closer to £20m could seal the deal.
Daniel Levy is fortunate Lo Celso has continued to perform on the international stage, so his stock is still relatively high.
