HITC understands that West Ham United turned down a bid for Jarrod Bowen during the January transfer window.
Sources have confirmed to HITC that an approach was made for the England international worth around £50million.
However, we understand the offer was not even considered by Hammers chairman David Sullivan – who made it clear that Bowen was not for sale.
It is not known who the bid came from at this stage – but they are not believed to have come back with an improved offer after West Ham’s stance was quite clear over their star forward.
The Hammers have only just secured Bowen to a long-term contract as he put pen-to-paper on a six-and-half-year deal in October – pledging his immediate future to the club.
Bowen has emerged as one of West Ham’s most important players in the last few years, following his move from Hull City in 2020.
His form has seen him become an England international under Gareth Southgate and he has high hopes that he will make the final 23-man squad for the European Championships this summer.

Bowen’s play has seen him attract the interest of a number of Premier League rivals with Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool amongst those who have been linked and indeed Jurgen Klopp has admitted his admiration for the West Ham man.
“[He is] probably my favourite player besides all my players I have to say. It’s great what he is doing and how he has developed,” he told Sky Sports in December.
